Juan “Johnny” Rodriguez Sr., 63 of Greeley, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at University Hospital in Denver.

He was born on July 15, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas to Pedro and Joaquina (Ybarra) Rodriguez. He married Rose Theresa Cervantes in Greeley on September 11, 1976.

Juan graduated from Valley High School in 1974. He later graduated from NJC with two A.A.S. degrees and received a one-year Management Certified Teaching Degree.

Juan worked as a migrant worker from Texas to Colorado. In 1962 the family settled in Colorado. He worked as a mechanic and welder since 1977.

Mr. Rodriguez was of the Catholic religion. He loved camping, fishing, music and being surrounded by family. He also loved his Broncos and Rockies teams.

Survivors include his son, Juan (Michelle)Rodriguez Jr.; 2 daughters, Francheska (Justin) Hulsey and Celeste Melendez; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his siblings, Pedro Rodriguez Jr., Teresa Rodriguez McNeil, Rachel (Bob) Naranjo, Aurora Moreno, Rosa (Herman) Naranjo, Janie (Leo) Rodriguez, Jim (Vicky) Rodriguez, Bowdie (Alfredo) Hernandez and Robert (Kim) Rodriguez. He is preceded in death by his wife, Terri Rodriguez, his parents, Joaquina and Pedro Rodriguez Sr., a sister, Maria Olvera and 2 brothers, Chavelo and Daniel Rodriguez.

Services for Juan will begin with a visitation from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Recitation of Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street in Greeley.
