Judith Ann "Judy" Rau, 68 of Greeley, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the North Colorado Medical Center.
She was born on May 18, 1941 in Greeley, Colorado to Reinhold and Inez (Johnson) Nelson. She lived in the Ault area as a child and she graduated from Pierce High School and was baptized and confirmed a the First Lutheran Church in Ault. She has lived in Weld County for all of her life.
Judy worked for Hewlett Packard for almost 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the LaSalle Eagles Club #3519 and she loved going to garage sales and shopping.
Survivors include Jim Haflett; her husband of 28 years; her son, Alan Rau of Greeley; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Rau and Casey Rau both of Greeley; her great granddaughter, Athena; a sister and her husband, Helen & Ellis Isakson of Ault; 4 brothers, Russell Nelson & wife Doris of Eaton, Earl Nelson of Longmont, Irvin Nelson and wife Dorothy of Ault & Leroy Nelson and wife Joyce of Loveland. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and Inez Nelson and a brother, Herb Nelson.
A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
