Judith "Judy" L. Schlotthauer, 80, of Eaton, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at UC Health Hospital in Greeley.
Judy was born on March 8, 1944, in Greeley, Colorado, to Don and Phyllis (Valentine) Buckendorf. She attended various schools in Greeley and the surrounding areas. On September 4, 1959, she married Rudy Schlotthauer in Windsor, Colorado, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.
Judy worked at Norbel Credit Union, where she dedicated herself until her retirement in 2006. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. Her favorite activities included spending time at the family cabin in Red Feather Lakes, traveling, gambling, playing cribbage, baking, and enthusiastically supporting the Denver Nuggets.
Judy's legacy is carried on by her two sons, Steven Schlotthauer and R. Scott Schlotthauer; her four grandchildren: Tiffany (Derek) Wiggett, Lauren (Nate) Hood, Keilei Schlotthauer (Chris Rocha), and Todd (Cami) Sabo; and her five great-grandchildren: Piper and Trey Wiggett, Eli Hood, and Addison and Greylee Barrows. She is also survived by her two sisters, Connie Parker (David) and Pam Yagadich (Ron); her brother, Roy Buckendorf (Sandy); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other beloved family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Schlotthauer; her parents, Don and Phyllis Buckendorf; and her two brothers, Jack and Tim Buckendorf.
Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Judy's name to Faith Lutheran Church of Eaton in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 11th Ave., Evans, Colorado 80620.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church, 36980 CR 37, Eaton, Colorado 80615. Inurnment will be at a later date.
