Judith (Judy) Eileen Kembel-Pabst, 73, of Greeley, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025.
Judy was born on June 23, 1951, in Fort Morgan, Colorado to John and Florence (Miller) Kembel.
Judy grew up helping on her family's Fort Morgan farm, learning how to garden and raise cattle and crops. As a young person she was very active in 4H. As a young adult she was an accomplished flutist. Judy graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1969.
She married Robert C. Pabst on September 11, 1971, in Fort Morgan. Judy and her family lived throughout Northern Colorado during her life. Her love of books led her to be a volunteer in many libraries throughout Northern CO. She helped re-establish the public library in Wellington, CO and enjoyed being a Librarian there.
In 2001 she moved to Greeley. In Greeley and the surrounding area, she worked in the auto industry doing customer service and title work. She retired in 2019 from Ehrlich Toyota.
In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, listening to music, reading, gardening, traveling, and caring for many pets. She especially loved trying new recipes & sharing home cooked meals with friends and family.
Survivors include her sons, Jon Pabst, and wife Cori, of Loveland, Colorado, Brian Pabst of Greeley, Colorado, and Kyle Pabst of Greeley, Colorado; a brother, Johnny Kembel of Fort Morgan, Colorado; 2 sisters, Linda McMahon of Fort Morgan, and Susan Jess of Fort Morgan and one grandchild, Coleten Pabst of Loveland, Colorado. In addition, she leaves behind a large extended family and lifelong friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Kembel.
A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 10a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado. Judy's urn will be interred at Riverside Cemetery and Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan at a later date.
