Judy Lynn Olsen (née, Maxwell), age 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home on December 31, 2025, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was an incredibly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and dear friend who will be cherished and remembered forever.

Judy graduated from Eaton High School in 1975 and went on to attend college at Colorado State University, graduating with a B.S. degree in Floriculture & Greenhouse Management. It was at CSU in 1977 where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Olsen. One serendipitous day Ken needed to borrow Judy's pickup truck to haul pumpkins for the CSU Horticulture Club. As they enjoyed the day harvesting and hauling pumpkins together, so began their beautiful love story. Ken and Judy have been best friends, soul mates, gardening and business partners ever since. They married in 1980.

In 1982 Judy and Ken together started what would become a successful retail nursery garden center and well-loved community destination, Eaton Grove Nursery, in Eaton, Colorado. Full of passion and love for plants, Judy was an incredibly talented and hard-working greenhouse grower. She loved growing crops of flowers as much as she adored her family. Whenever Judy wasn't working in her greenhouses or spending quality time with family, she and Ken were likely visiting a botanical garden, exploring another nursery, hiking in nature or gardening in their yard together.

Judy lived a full and wonderfully beautiful life, abundant with love, family, flowers, color, laughter and happiness. She was someone to admire.

Judy will be remembered always for her warm, loving spirit, kindness, integrity, strength, and immense love for her family. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Olsen and their four children, Brandy (Damon), Michael (Ericka), Matt (Leann) & Ben, along with seven grandchildren, Emily (Aiden), Haley, Ethan, Callie, Eli, Felix, Eloisa Olsen, and her father, Lee Maxwell, age 95. Judy is now with her beloved mother, Barbara Maxwell, who passed away in 2024.

Celebration of life memorial services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Judy's name to support pancreatic cancer research, to organizations such as the Lustgarten Foundation, The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, or the American Cancer Society.
