Justin Lynn Smithey, 23, of Greeley, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at his home.

He was born January 27, 1999, in Greeley, Colorado to Andrew Smithey and Taryn (Ranch) Yost. He grew up in Eaton, Colorado and graduated from Jefferson High School. He loved racing dirt bikes when he was younger. He then got into the love of Honda Preludes. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing or camping. He had a contagious smile and lit up a room with that smile. He touched the lives of everyone he met.

Justin lost his battle with brain cancer after a year and half struggle. Throughout it all, he always had a smile on his face, and he fought as hard as he could. His saying was "I got this!" He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. He had the kindest and most loving heart of anyone.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Taryn & Joey Yost of Greeley, his father, Andrew Smithey of Greeley, his brothers, Jay Schwartz & Miguel Rascon of Eaton, Cody Snelling of Yuma, his sisters, Carla Walko of Longmont, Nikki Eaton and Destiny Mendez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and his children; Subaru SVX, Red Prelude, and White Prelude. He is also survived by his grandparents and many other family members.

A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, 1325 3rd Street in Eaton. Funeral services will follow beginning at 10:00 a.m. also at the church.
