Karen Dazey, 62, of Evans, passed away on December 27, 2019 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
She was born March 24, 1957 in Fort Collins to Vernon & Bonnie (Burns) Dazey. She graduated in 1975 from Poudre High School. She was involved in 4H and showed Southdown Sheep and was Grand Champion senior seamstress/senior division in Larimer County. She owned Stitch for K9 for over 20 years, making dog beds and dog related items. She attended UNC perusing a degree in marketing. She worked at Old West Leather, bartended at The Gambler, and worked for Nor Sky Pet Supply. In 2010, she opened Happy Paws in Windsor.
Survivors include her mother, Bonnie Dazey of Fort Collins, numerous cousins, and long-time friends Ryan Kinnison and Teri Segelke.
She was preceded in death by father, Vernon Dazey.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Northern Colorado Cowboy Church, 3131 US Highway 85 in Lucerne.
