Kathy Applehans, 60, of Greeley died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her home. She was born March 23, 1954 in Sterling, Colorado to Walter Richard & Beulah Mae (Clark) Roth. Mrs. Applehans gave birth to the joy of her life on March 10, 1988, her only child, her daughter, Lacey. Lacey was her whole world, her family, and her everything. Ms. Applehans, also known as Edna Kracker (by her close friends) loved to go to garage sales, sew and cook. She loved to gamble, and one of her favorite places to go was Blackhawk. She was a very giving, and caring person. She loved to make people laugh. Survivors include her daughter, Lacey Applehans of Greeley, her mother, Beulah Roth of Zap, North Dakota, 2 brothers, Tim Roth & wife Bonnie of Fort Lupton, Colorado and Rodney Roth & wife Connie of Sterling, Colorado, 3 sisters, Patricia Allen of Sterling, Melinda Roth of Zap, North Dakota, and Anita Roth of Zap, North Dakota, 7 nieces, 4 nephews, 5 great nieces, and 3 great nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Roth and a nephew, Scott Wills. No services are scheduled at this time.
