Kathleen "Kathy" Joan Musgrave, 78, of Greeley, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Life Care Center of Greeley.
She was born June 13, 1945, to Charles Grant and Jeanette Christine (Haze) Ingram in Oxford, Nebraska. The family later moved to Long Island, Kansas where they homesteaded on the farm. Kathy graduated from Long Island High School in 1963. Jeanette married Harland Joseph Skelton who then adopted Kathy. The family moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado where Kathy met Kirby Musgrave. They later married on October 10, 1968, and moved to Sterling where they had their first daughter, Jennifer. The family then made their way to the Greeley area where they had their second daughter, Leanna.
Kathy held many jobs throughout her life which included working at Hays Market in Johnstown, and Johnson's Corner also in Johnstown. She was a bus driver for the Weld County School District RE-1 where she retired after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Milliken.
In her free time, Kathy loved watching her children and grandchildren in their school activities and sports. She enjoyed reading, playing games, trivia, listening to music, joke telling and being around people. Kathy spent hours coloring and never missed a Rockies or Nuggets game.
Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer (Lee) Richardson of Kersey, Colorado, and Leanna (Cody) Dilka of Eaton, Colorado, her brothers, Dick Skelton of Forest Grove, Oregon, and Craig Kinkade of Longmont, Colorado, 10 grandchildren, and her best friend, Connie Winter.
She was preceded in death by her father, Grant Ingram, her mother, Jeanette Skelton, stepfather, Harland Skelton, her husband, Kirby Musgrave, a brother, Marvin Haze, and a great grandson, Ryan Richardson.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado.
