Kathryn Ann (Hornor) McClure, of Greeley, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley after waging a courageous battle against cancer. Kathy was born on January 1, 1953, in Pueblo, Colorado to Thomas Dale and Kathryn Nadeen Hornor. She graduated from Pueblo South High School in 1971 and then attended Southern Colorado State College. She was employed by the Colorado Department of Corrections, Adult Parole Community Corrections and YOS for 19 years. Kathy's life was dedicated to her service to Jesus Christ with her musical ministry. She served as the co-musical director of the Hillside Baptist Church. She and her husband, Mike, ministered to the occupants of the Life Care Nursing Home, The Bridge, and Sterling House Assisted Living facilities. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Thomas Hornor. Kathy is survived by her husband, Michael McClure, of Greeley, her mother, Kathryn Hornor, of Johnstown, her father-in –law, Stan Huckabee, of Pueblo, brother, Thomas Hornor and wife Becky, of Lanexa, VA, sister, Donna Decker and husband Chuck, of Johnstown, nephew, Donald Hornor and wife Stacy, of Tunstall Station, VA, nephew, Michael Decker and Tiffany Wyss, of Aurora, niece, Cassandra Six and husband Scott, of Gloucester, VA, great Nieces, Kayla and Robyn Decker of Greeley. A memorial service to celebrate Kathy's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Hillside Baptist Church, 2436 9th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631 In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Hillside Baptist Church Music Department.
