Kathleen (Kathy) Mary Sanders, 75, of Greeley passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.

She was born June 15, 1942 to Jacob & Naomi (Reifschneider) Fritzler in Greeley, Colorado. She graduated from Greeley High School and attended Colorado State University. On May 19, 1963, she married William (Bill) Sanders in Greeley. Kathy worked for many different local banks including Greeley National, Cache National, and Northern Colorado Savings/Loan. She also worked for Will Skow Pictures, H & R Block and Village Gifts. She was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church from 1945-2005 and then attended Christ Community Church from 2005 until her time of passing. Kathy loved her family fiercely, and was, in return, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working with her hands and especially enjoyed Brazilian embroidery. She also enjoyed the outdoors, working in the yard, rafting, skiing, and hiking. After Bill’s retirement in 2007 the two of them spent several summers at Grand Lake where Kathy enjoyed boating and hiking and all that the Rocky Mountain National Park had to offer.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Sanders, a son William (Scott) Sanders, 2 daughters, Lori Lynn (Arthur) Magnuson, and Karrie Kathleen (Patrick) Mitchell, 2 sisters, Sylvia (Bill) Doke and Janice (Bob) Hirschfield, and 5 grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, Jacob & Naomi Fritzler, and several aunts and uncles.

A graveside service will be held 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Linn Grove Cemetery. A celebration of Kathy’s life will follow at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
