Obituary

Keith L. Larson, 68, of Eaton passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at his home.

He was born on August 26, 1956, in Greeley to Laurie and Susie (Fraser) Larson of Eaton. He attended Eaton High School until his junior year and graduated in 1974 from Highland High School, when his family moved into that school district. Keith participated in football.

Mr. Larson joined the Army Reserves in 1976 and did his training at Ft. McClellan, Alabama and served until 1982. Keith joined his dad and uncle in the farming business where they raised sugar beets, silage, hay, pinto beans and ran a cow/calf operation. Keith eventually began farming for himself. Keith then went to work for a fellow farmer, Chuck Winter, and worked for him for many years. Keith was a fan of Duke Basketball, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Colorado Avalanche and CU Buffaloes. Keith had season tickets to the CU football games.

Thankful to have shared his life are, his two daughters, Kara (Shawn) Winters and Korie Larson, two grandchildren Locklyn and Latham Winters, his sisters Diana (Kent) Seele, Bernice (Steve) Westerholt, Janine (Mike) Freeman and brother Doug (Pat) Larson. Two Aunts JoAnn Burr and Sandy Powell. He is also survived by 6 nieces, 5 nephews and 8 great nieces and 6 great nephews. He is also survived by 3 cousins Julie (Troy) Holmes, Jay (MaryKay) Burr and Dallas (Mark) Rodriquez and longtime dear friends Norman and Vickie Leffler along with many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 uncles.

A funeral service to celebrate Keith's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the First Lutheran Church, 402 Graefe Avenue in Ault, Colorado. Interment Ault Cemetery.
