Ken Beilby, 81, of Greeley, ascended the stairway to heaven and joined his late wife he so dearly missed since her passing 3 plus years ago.
Ken was born March 24, 1940, in Yorkshire England to Earnest Beilby and Evelyn Riley-Beilby, and later moved to Canada when he was a young boy during World War II. Ken served in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and after his service he pursued a career in Land/Construction Surveying. He moved to the USA in the early 60's and his professional career took him across this country as a surveyor working at numerous power plants, including coal generation, solar, hydro, and nuclear. When he left that career, he drove for FedEx up until he retired.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Beilby; parents, Earnest Beilby and Evelyn Riley-Beilby; brother, Raymond; and sister, Lynn.
Ken is survived by his sons, Darrin, Ron (Katie), Scott (Vangie), and Kevin; daughter, Kimberly (Terrell); grandchildren, Brittney, Hunter, Jaelyn, Austin, Alyssa, Ian, Macay, Kyanne, Sage, Conley, Shawn, and Jay; great grandchildren, Lincoln, Ivy, Hunter, Audree, Mackenzie, Jordan, and Phoenix.
Ken met an amazing woman, Jayne Beilby in 1965 and they were married for over 50 years before she passed on October 5, 2017. Their love, respect, and commitment for one another was inspiring. Ken was an exceptional husband, loving and outstanding father, grandfather, great grandfather and one of the hardest working men we knew throughout his life, even up until his final days. Dad, thank you for being the pillar of strength for our family, your patience, kindness, and compassion were immeasurable. Most of all dad, thank you for always being there for mom and us. Your passing has left a scar in our hearts but knowing you are with her gives us peace.
Per Ken's wishes a private service will be held.
