Kenneth Joseph Iten (Kenny), 71, passed away in his home in Eaton, CO on September 2nd, 2021.

He was born in Boulder, Colorado September 16th, 1949, and resided there until December of 2011 when he moved to Eaton, Colorado. Kenny graduated from Boulder High School in 1967. He then played football at Washburn University in Kansas before returning to Colorado to complete his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
In 1971, he began his teaching career at Nevin Platt Junior High School in Boulder teaching Physical Education and coaching football and basketball. During that same time period he worked for the City of Boulder training and evaluating referees and officials. He was a part of Jerry Zancanelli's coaching staff for the University of Colorado Lady Buffs basketball program and later coached girls basketball at Fairview High School.

He is survived by his son Scott (Cathryn) of Denver, grandchildren Annabelle and Madelyn, and brother Mike (Cindy) of Longmont.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents William and Madeline Jean Iten, his son Dan and his sister Linda (Stelmack).

Services will be held 12:30 p.m., Friday, September 10th, 2021 at Moser Funeral Services, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans CO 80620.
