Kirby L. Musgrave, 60 of Greeley, died on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Sterling Regional Medical Center in Sterling, Colorado. He was born on December 10, 1946 in Denver, Colorado to Kenneth M. and Elizabeth Jean (Mason) Musgrave. Kirby graduated from Arickaree High School in Anton, Colorado in 1964. He later married Kathleen J. Skelton on October 10, 1968 in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The couple lived in Sterling for a short time before moving to the Greeley area in 1971. He worked for the State Highway Department in Greeley for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Following retirement from the highway department, he began KLM Roofing and Remodeling which he owned and operated until the time of his passing. Mr. Musgrave was a past member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Milliken and Craig, Colorado. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Cowboy Polo player and twice won the Sportsmanship Award. He loved his wife, Kathleen and was very proud of his daughters and grandsons. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen J. Musgrave of Greeley; his father, Kenneth M. Musgrave of Eads, Colorado; 2 daughters, Jennifer Richardson and her husband Lee of Kersey and Leanna Hamm of Evans; 5 grandsons, David, Brandon and Alex Richardson all of Kersey and Dalton and Wyatt Hamm both of Evans; 2 sisters, Mickey Sanchez of Savannah, Georgia and Robin Musgrave of Eads, Colorado; 2 brothers, Bill Musgrave and his wife Dorie of Eads, Colorado and Kenneth M. Musgrave Jr. of Denver and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Jean Musgrave and a sister, Susan Musgrave. A memorial service to celebrate Kirby's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel; 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
