Obituary

Lanell Adler was the adoptive daughter of Bob and Charlene Lawrence. The family lived in various locations in her younger years, including Hereford Texas, Salida, Colorado and Albany Texas. She spent her early years in Rapid City, South Dakota. Where she graduated from Rapid City High School in 1972. She attained Honors Graduate awards as an academician and was a member of the National Honors Society. She was also an accomplished musician during her teen years. She played the piano and was selected to the South Dakota All-State High School Orchestra. She played the Viola.

She has always been a lover of animals. When we met Lanell had three cats and one dog. She had a love for animals. She developed this love for animals when she worked at Reptile Gardens in Rapid City. She then attended the University of Northern Colorado. She stayed in Greeley working for the County Government, then to the city in Planning and Zoning also working for Greeley West High School. Family survivors include Brother Don Lawrence and nephew Tyler Huggins.

Lanell and Alan B. Adler met at a Thanksgiving party in 1990. Alan B Adler, at that time, ran an Art Gallery in Loveland. Because of the commute that Lanell had, Alan closed the Gallery and moved to Greeley. Were they have been for 33 years. We were married for 32 years. In that time, we became joined at the hip. She was gentle and kind and cared about friends. Lanell cannot be replaced. We took care of each other, and I cannot state how much Lanell will be missed. Lanell will be in Heaven.

A memorial service to celebrate Lanell's life will be held at a later date.
