Larry Lesser, age 80, went home to his heavenly father on January 17, 2024. Larry was born on September 12, 1943, to German-Russian immigrants Fred and Charlotte Lesser in Johnstown, Colorado. Larry grew up all around Northern Colorado but graduated from Greeley High School in 1961. Larry married Judie (Gunder) Lesser, on June 25th, 1965, in Evans, Colorado.
There wasn't anything that Larry couldn't fix; if he didn't know something, he would take the opportunity to learn. Larry ensured that his expertise and wisdom was passed down to his three sons, whom he deeply loved and cared for. Larry's wealth of knowledge helped him throughout his many careers. Larry worked as a mechanic for Agland (now Agfinity) for several years until he retired. He was also employed at Itel Corporation in Silicon Valley, where he and his family lived for a brief time, as well as Boeing Co.
In his personal life, Larry was a lover of animals and had several pets throughout his life. If it were up to him, there is no question he would've had fifty dogs and cats at one time. He was also a car enthusiast; he enjoyed racing and working on them. He was the owner of a red 1966 SS Chevelle that he had for many years and took great care of, and the car is still in the family. He was always around to help if any of his family had issues or had questions, both car-related and not. Family was most important to Larry. He was a wonderful husband to Judie, always making sure that no matter what, she was cared for and loved. He never missed an opportunity to support and help his family; whether it be sporting and school events or important life milestones, Larry was always present. There is no question he will be deeply missed, and the impact he leaves behind is immeasurable. Larry's life was a blessing and the memories he leaves with his loved ones will live on forever.
Larry is survived by his wife, Judie Lesser; his sons, Scott (Cindy) Lesser, Michael (Cori) Lesser, Chris (Teresa) Lesser; his grandchildren, Samantha Campbell, Shad Lesser, Jacinda Lesser, Jaren Lesser, Aidan Lesser; two great grandchildren; his nephew Paul (Naomi) Premer, along with many other nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Charlotte Lesser; Mother and Father-in-Law, Violet and Paul Gunder; sisters, Bertha Weber, Helen Premer, Shirley Myers, June Neibarger, Jane Ayers, Florene Lesser; brother, Elmer Lesser; brother-in-law, Mike Gunder, and daughter-in-law, Laurel Lesser.
A small private service was held for Larry by his family.
