Lavalta Idella Stone, 86, of Evans, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

She was born March 12, 1938, in Greeley, Colorado, to Luna E. and Lindel E. (West) Whittaker. After high school, she went to work for Mountain Bell as a telephone operator where she would work for 33 years before retiring. She enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, and watching game shows. Most of all, Lavalta loved being with family and friends and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Max (Pat) Ingersoll of Evans, daughters, Patty Ingersoll and Diane Ingersoll, of Evans, a sister, Donna Hunker of Greeley, Colorado, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luna and Lindell Whitaker, 2 sisters and 2 brothers all from Greeley.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, December 4 and Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado.
