LaVonne Catherine Oliver, 76, of Eaton, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at her home.
She was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois to Donald & Regina (Reibling) Mintz on July 3, 1944. On August 25, 1962, she married Lester Keith Oliver, Sr. in Rockford and they moved to Eaton, Colorado in 2006 to be closer to family.
LaVonne took great pride in being a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She faithfully ready her bible nightly and loved the Lord.
She had many hobbies. She loved horse back riding, and her beloved horse, Duchess. One of her favorite past times was playing bingo and earned the name, "Bingo Bonnie". She loved time with her children and grandchildren. They have many fond memories of their time with her, her sense of humor and lively spirit. She enjoyed cooking for her husband and the whole family. Traveling and trying out different restaurants were something she really enjoyed. Anyone that knew her found her to be a loving, supportive and down to earth personality, but to her family she was known as a trustworthy, caring and loyal person.
Survivors include her son, Curtis (Kathryn) Oliver, daughters, Susan Oliver, Corrine Oliver, and Nicole (Steve) Kuhn, and a sister in law, Else Crosby, 14 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Les Oliver, Sr. a son, Lester Oliver, Jr., a daughter, Katherine Oliver, one brother and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the Eaton Cemetery.
