Lawrence "Larry" E. Lutgen, 81, of Greeley, was born in Yates Center, KS on June 16, 1940, and passed away on July 5, 2021. He was raised in Beloit, KS and graduated from St. John's High School in 1958. He attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS and graduated in 1963 from Emporia State University in Emporia, KS. He and his family moved to Denver, CO upon graduation. He then worked for the Insurance Company of North America from 1963-1971, and later joined Garrett Bromfield Agency in 1971-1979 before accepting a position with Bartels and Noe Agency in Greeley, CO. He remained with that Agency until his retirement in 2005.
Larry married his high school sweetheart, his lifelong love, and companion, Grenda Pinney in 1959. Larry dearly loved his family and grandsons. He enjoyed the Rocky Mountains, sports, and family time with them. He took pride in his remodeling and woodworking.
Survivors: Wife, Grenda, daughter, Lisa (Bill) Blackburn, son Mark (fiancé Louise and children Brett and Olivia), son Craig (Hiroko) and his 5 grandsons: Jon, Conor, Garrett, Gavan, and Adrian.
