Leo Brug was born May 19, 1928 in Galeton, Colorado to Fred and Katie Brug. Leo died on October 12, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.
Leo enjoyed gambling, gardening, playing pool, watching grandkids and great grandkids playing sports. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and awarded high 10 beet grower.
On March 7, 1954 he married Reatha Joy (Thompson) in Greeley CO. They lived in the local areas all their lives. Leo worked as a farmer then employed by Amalgamated Sugar where he retired.
He is survived by his loving wife Reatha, his son Darwin and wife Cindy Brug of Kersey, his daughter Dannette & husband Chuck Wilson of Eaton, his grandkids Jerome & Jessica Brug of Greeley, Janelle & Kenny Salberg of Eaton & Sydney & Molly Wilson of Eaton, step grandkids Dean Rager II & Troy Rager, brothers Harry Brug of Lake George, Melvin Brug of Greeley, sisters Darlene Winter and Jean Stoll all of Greeley and 9 great grandkids, various nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jacob & Fred Brug, sisters Victoria Schaffer & Helen Hoke and a granddaughter Nicole Wilson.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside memorial service 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Linn Grove Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Evans Moose Lodge at 3456 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel.
