Leota June Kestler (Lee), 83, of Eaton passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at Kenton Manor in Greeley.
She was born May 15th 1932 in Sterling, Colorado to Albert and Emma Marie (Bauder) Suckey. She was the oldest of three girls. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1950. Lee married Donald Kestler on June 5, 1950. They were married 57 years. Lee worked in the retail industry for many years and retired from Hugh M. Woods on her 65th birthday.
Lee was an excellent cook, something she learned from her Mom. She made the best cinnamon rolls, kraut burgers and potato salad. She enjoyed making big dinners. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She loved her poodles.
Survivors include a daughter; Marlene (Dan) Yocom of Eaton, a granddaughter; Stacie (Chris) Clayton of Thornton, a great granddaughter; Brooklyn Clayton, one sister; Kay (Steve) Amen of Lufkin, Texas, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister Mary Graber.
A memorial/open house will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on August 22, 2015 at the Hawkstone Club House, 880 Hawkstone Drive, Eaton, Colorado.
