Leroy Steinmiller, 82 of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 surrounded by family in his home. He went to be with the love of his life, Marty.
He was born on May 19, 1929 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to William and Amelia (Miller) Steinmiller.
Mr. Steinmiller married Martha Donner on November 23, 1949 in Greeley. She preceded him in death on January 13, 2007. He served in the Army National Guard and was very proud of his service to our country.
Leroy lived in Greeley for most of his life and he worked for Great Western Sugar Company for 34 years retiring in 1986. He was an avid fisherman and loved watching football and baseball, especially the Colorado Rockies. He also loved working in his lawn and gardening.
Survivors include his daughter, Kat Russell of Laramie, Wyoming; his son, Bill Steinmiller of Greeley; his brother, Gary Steinmiller of Greeley; 6 grandchildren and their spouses and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Martha Steinmiller he is preceded in death by his parents, William and Amelia Steinmiller.
A memorial service to celebrate Leroy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. A private family graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
