Leta Naber, 77, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026.
Leta was born on October 11, 1948, in Maywood, Nebraska, to Harvey and Opal (Miller) Brown. After graduating from high school, she attended Grand Island Business School, where she met the love of her life, Gene Naber. They were married on March 31, 1968, and built a life together centered on family, love, and lasting memories.
Leta dedicated 33 years of service to the University of Northern Colorado. Following her retirement from UNC, she continued serving her community through her work at Moser Funeral Home.
Leta had a passion for gardening and took great pride in creating a beautiful backyard where she loved gathering and hosting family. She was the family historian, preserving stories and memories for generations to come. She enjoyed the excitement of trips to Central City and treasured spending time crafting with her grandchildren.
Leta leaves behind a legacy of love stitched into the many quilts and handmade creations she made throughout her life—gifts that will continue to bring comfort and connection to those she loved most.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; her parents, Harvey and Opal; her sister, Iris; nephew, Kimo; and sister-in-law, Connie.
A Celebration of Leta’s Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans.
