Linda Sue Marquez, 68, of Pierce, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

She was born March 23, 1952 in Guthrie County, Iowa to Floyd Dean & Nellie Marie (Peterson) Shell. She spent her youth in Casey, IA and graduated high school in Guthrie County, Iowa. The family moved to Colorado in 1971. On March 25, 1985, she married Salvador Marquez in Ault, Colorado.

Linda enjoyed working with her hands and spent time sewing, crafting and gardening. She was employed by the Greeley Tribune delivering newspapers for over 33 years.

She is survived by her husband, Salvador Marquez of Pierce, Colorado, her step sons, Jose (Rosa) and Robert Marquez both of Greeley, her daughter, Stephanie (Ricky) Garcia of Pierce, her step daughters, Leonicia, Naomi, Bitalia Marquez all of Greeley, and Blanca Marquez of Pennsylvania, and 24 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Nellie Shell, 3 brothers, Alan, Wayne, and Roger Shell, 5 sisters, Nancy Dillon, Elaine Adams, Kay Norris, Glenna Shell, and Tammy Shell, and a stepson, Fabio Marquez.

Private family graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
