Lois Elaine Booth, 95, passed away at home on February 12th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 19, 1930, to Edgar and Lenora Parks.
Lois grew up in Erie, Colorado. Her family moved to Denver where she graduated from East High School in 1948. She met her husband, Frank, while in high school and they were married in Las Vegas on July 1st, 1948. Frank enlisted in the army which found them stationed in Germany. She had her first adventure traveling when she flew from Colorado to Germany to be with Frank. Their son Gary was born in Germany.
Upon returning from the service, they lived in Denver where their children Vicki and Mark were born. After several years they moved to Greely and then to Ault where Lois lived in the family home for 60 years.
Frank and Lois had many adventures on the road as cattle buyers before starting their own cattle hauling and feeding operation. Lois worked for many years in the family business (I R Booth and Son) while raising the children. She was very involved in her children's and grandchildren's activities, and thoroughly enjoyed traveling around the state and country to events they were involved in.
Lois loved to travel and had a true spirit of fun and adventure! Frank and Lois took the family on several extended trips during summer vacations around the United States and Europe. Through the years she traveled with family or friends to Europe, China, Africa and most of the states in the US. Cruising and road trips were her favorites, but she was game for anything. You might just find her with her sister in Blackhawk sitting at a slot machine. She also enjoyed time at a family home in Breckenridge where many wonderful memories were made.
Frank, Lois and family were members of the First Methodist Church in Ault where Lois sang in the choir. Later, after Frank's passing, Lois attended Evangelical Free Church in Eaton.
Lois was preceded in death by, her parents, brother Vernon (Bud), sisters Vivian and Marvel and her husband Frank. She is survived by her son Gary (Tamara), daughter Vicki (Joe) and son Mark (Sandy) as well as grandchildren Steve (Alisha), Jason (Chelsea), Bryson (Brandy), Jeff, Rachael, Amanda (Chase) and great grandchildren Sydney, Marek, Norah, Ryan, Tessa, Holland, Grayson, Alden, Bexlee and Virgil as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Lois was an extraordinary, strong and beautiful (inside and out) lady who deeply loved her family. Her kindness, friendship, laughter and love will be profoundly missed.
A celebration of Lois' life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, 1325 3rd Street in Eaton.
