Obituary

Loisjean Deubach was born Loisjean Harris on August 14th 1943 in Greeley, CO. On March 15, 2016 she went to her eternal home. She was 72 years old.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Kelly Rojean, her sons and their spouses, Kevin and Sherry Deubach and Shawn and Patricia Deubach; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; brothers, David Harris and Floyd Harris, sister-in-law Charlotte Harris; and her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; parents, Fred and Margaret Harris; granddaughter, Mickaily and sister-in-law Judy Harris.

Lois was a dedicated wife and mother. While she held various workplace positions from professional bookkeeping to managing a fabric store, the work place always took second place to that of her family. She married Douglas Deubach on August 25, 1963 and after his passing in 2005 she poured more of her passion and dedication into various organizations including the Moose Lodge 909, VFW Post 2121, and the Kersey Senior Center. Her joy for sewing and crocheting made it an easy task for her to lend her talent in making items for family, friends and anyone in need. Whether it was making quilts, pillowcases for the women’s shelter or just helping out an individual. She was always ready to help others. As the recent recipient of The Outstanding Woman of the Moose Lifetime Achievement Award, it was astutely noted, “When it came to community service the word “NO” was not in her vocabulary”.

She was an avid card player, even if it was a game of solitaire or the competition of Kangaroo Rummy. She was always ready for a game. As a true Colorado sports fan, she enjoyed rooting for the Broncos, the Rockies and the AV’s but most all, she loved people.

We will always remember her desire to share a good laugh, have a listening ear, her outstretched arms and her accepting heart. We love you mom!
