Lorenzo Gonzales, 83 of Greeley, died on February 18, 2010 at the North Colorado Medical Center.
Lorenzo was born on September 15, 1926 in Mexico to Pomposo and Maria (Garcia) Gonzales. He married Lina Vasquez in Sta. Elena, Mexico in 1965.
Survivors include his wife Lina Gonzales of Greeley; 6 daughters, Reyes Gonzales of Mexico, Olga Aranda of Mexico, Isirida Aranda of Greeley, Maria Vasquez of Alpine, Texas, Arama Gonzales of Evans and Dominga Riojas of Platteville; 3 sons, Homero Vasquez of Portales, New Mexico, Jose L. Vasquez of Greeley and Antonio Gonzales of Mexico; a sister, Ausencia Gonzales of Hobbes, New Mexico; 66 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents Pomposo and Maria Gonzales and a daughter, Armida Riojas.
A funeral service to celebrate Lorenzo's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 1900 "AA" Street. Interment Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
