Lucy Mary Fresquez Lewis, 84, of Platteville passed away December 13, 2012 at Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado.
Lucy was born June 15, 1928 to John and Mary (Garcia) Fresquez in Milliken, Colorado. She married Frank M. Lewis on February 5, 1947 in Denver. She worked for the United States Postal Service. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Platteville. Lucy loved sports, especially football, baseball and basketball. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to cook.
Survivors include her husband, Frank M. Lewis, her sons, Bobby(Nancy) Lewis of Greeley, Charlie Lewis of Lakewood, Leroy (Jill) Lewis of Brighton, Billy (Debra) Lewis of Brighton, and Sammy Lewis of Greeley, brothers, Raymond Fresquez of Denver and Tony Fresquez of Longmont, a sister, Mary Solano of Denver, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by a daughter, Francis Lewis, her brothers, Benny Fresquez and Alfred Fresquez and a sister, Elsie Chavez.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Platteville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. Private family visitation.
