Lydia Elaine Gutierrez, 65 of Evans, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in Evans.

She was born November 19, 1952 to John & Ella (Hernandez) Martinez in Denver, Colorado. She was a native Coloradoan and graduated from North Glenn High School. She went on to attend La Puente Bible Institute and then Metro State College. In 1995, she married Jesse J. Gutierrez. She retired from Kenny’s Steak House where she worked as a catering operator. Lydia enjoyed the outdoors. She spent time gardening and fishing. She enjoyed working with her hands and did scrapbooking and crocheting. She was an avid Bronco/Rockies fan. She loved helping others and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Gutierrez, her mother Ella Martinez, a son Epifiano Krause, a daughter, Amanda (Darryl) Olin, a brother, Obed Martinez, a sister Cynthia (Clyde) Stackhouse, and sister-in-law, Della Martinez.

She was preceded by her father, John Martinez, a sister, Angie Lerma, and a brother, Nathan Marvin Martinez.

A celebration of Lydia’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, in Evans.
