Lyonel E. Garcia, 70, of Greeley died on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at his home Mr. Garcia was born April 1, 1939 to Pilar Garcia and Mary (Enriquez) Garcia in Junction, Texas From 1959 – 2007 Lyonel lived in Gilcrest, Colorado and moved to Greeley in 2007. He worked for Monfort for 37 years. He attended St. Mary's Catholic Church and loved the Dallas Cowboys, dancing, doing crossword puzzles and playing with his Great-grandchildren. In 1959 Lyonel married Mary Lou Chacon in Junction, Texas. Lyonel is survived by his wife Mary Garcia and 2 sons: James and his wife Rebecca Garcia of Greeley, Daniel and his wife Shawn Garcia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 2 daughters Margaret and her husband Nacho Fernandez of Lubbock, Texas, Yvette and her husband Manuel Ayala, of Gilcrest, Colorado, 4 brothers Richard and his wife Theresa Garcia of Lovington, New Mexico, Pilar and his wife Pat Garcia of San Antonio, Texas, Orlando and his wife Mary Garcia of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Valentine and his wife Edith Garcia of Irving, Texas, 2 sisters Tammy and her husband Cruz Chavez of San Angelo, Texas, Loretta Albrecht of Junction, Texas and 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren. Lyonel was preceded in death by his parents, a son Paul Garcia and sister, Amelia Castillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church (2222 23rd Avenue). Inurnment Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville at a later date. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Recitation of Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
