Obituary

Manuel Quintana, 83, Greeley, died peaceful on June 24, 2016 among his family and friends. He has gone to meet Our Lord, Jesus Christ for whom he has always had an unconditional love.

Manuel was born to Agapito and Maria Passita Quintana on January 1, 1933 in El Cerrito, NM. He was raised in a family of 9 brothers and 1 sister. When he turned 19 he moved to Colorado where he farmed and worked with livestock and dairy operations at various locations from Holly, Colorado to Eastern Weld County. In 1965, he moved to Greeley, CO where he was employed with Monfort Packing Plant and UNC until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Quintana; three sons, Manuel, Thomas and Lorenzo and three daughters, Eva, Connie and Christina; 4 brothers, Sam, George, Agapito Jr. and Adan. Manuel and wife Laura, Thomas and wife Eloise, Eva and husband Rinaldo, Connie Villarreal, Lorenzo and wife Bethany, Christina and husband Luke; 9 grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Anthony, Erika, Josh, Savannah, Danielle, Cynthia, Lauren, Crystal and 24 great grandchildren, Elexie, Kaydence, Kacie, Kourtney, Kai, Kiana, Lorenzo Jr., Eliana, Aviana, Eli, Isabella, Desahray, Lizabeth, Jordan, Brianna, Gabriella, Lillyana, Elliana, Jazlyn, Christian, Alain, Francois, Jade and Marcelo.

Manuel is member of Our Lady of Peace and St. Peter’s Catholic Churches. He was strong in faith and helped raise his family with a strong belief in Our Lord Jesus Christ. When younger he enjoyed years of dancing with his wife Margaret, gardening, fishing and being with his wife and family.

Services will begin with visitation from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 915 12th Street in Greeley followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the church on Friday. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
