Marcella Marie Bedan, 61 of LaSalle, Colorado died on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the North Colorado Medical Center.
She was born to Benjimin and Lucinda (Padilla) Vigil on May 7, 1948 in Longmont, Colorado. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Johnstown in 1967. She later married Joseph Bedan and they were married for 43 years.
Marcella worked for Hewlett Packard in Greeley, Loveland and Ft. Collins until she retired in 1996 due to health problems. She was devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greeley. Mrs. Bedan loved volunteering at the church and would help make meals for funerals anytime that she was asked. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them to cook and bake.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Bedan of LaSalle; 2 sons, Brian Bedan of LaSalle and Anthony Bedan and his wife Julie of LaSalle; 6 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 5 sisters, 26 nieces and nephews and 65 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjimin and Lucinda Vigil formerly of Millliken and 3 brothers, Larry, Kelly and Johnny Vigil.
Services for Marcella will begin with the Recitation of the Rosary at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue in Greeley. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. A second mass will be held later in the week at the Sangre De Cristo Church with interment in the San Acacio Cemetery in San Acacio, Colorado.
