Marcelline (Marcie) Ophelia Saenz-Prickett, born on October 27, 1943, to Marcello and Dora Saenz in Senator, South Dakota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Colorado after a long illness on January 23, 2025, at the age of 81.

Marcie was a woman of extraordinary kindness, a giving heart, and boundless love for her family. She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones, doting on and leaving behind her husband, JD Prickett and five children from her previous marriage to Kenneth Hansen: sons Mike Hansen (Spouse Becky), Brent Hansen, Steven Hansen (Spouse Brittany), and daughters Brenda Gross (Spouse Berlyn), and Monica Workman (Spouse Kyle). She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, who filled her life with joy. She also leaves behind her brother, Reuben Saenz, his wife Joyce, Niece and Nephew, Lisa Saenz-Hurd and Paul Saenz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcello and Dora Saenz; her brothers Abel, Robert, and Joe Saenz; her sister Betty; Her baby son Blake Aaron Hansen; her precious granddaughter Michaela Hansen, and grandson Trenton Scott Hansen.

Marcie's passions included gardening, cooking, and spending quality time with her family. Her meals brought comfort and togetherness to countless gatherings, and her green thumb made her garden a sanctuary of beauty. She worked for many years as a janitor at the Grover, Colorado school, a role she loved deeply. Known for her warm smile and caring nature, Marcie formed cherished relationships with the staff and students, who adored seeing her every day.

Marcie's unwavering love, kindness, and selflessness touched everyone she met. Her family and friends will treasure her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed. Her memory will remain a beacon of light for all.

A Memorial Service will be held at Moser Funeral Home located at 3501 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620.Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. Following, there will be a celebration of Marcie's life held at the American Legion in Windsor, CO. from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
