Margaret "Meg" Green, 98 of Platteville, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, February 24,2026, at her home.
She was born January 28, 1928, in Elkhart, Kansas to Byron C. and Harriet E. (Bosley) Bush. After graduating from high school in western Oklahoma, Meg went on to receive an associate degree and worked as a bookkeeper for a John Deere dealership where she met her future husband, Harold B. Green. Once they were married in Clayton, N.Mex., she continued working as a receptionist and bookkeeper for a local doctor.
After moving to Colorado Springs, Meg became active in her children's school activities. Moving to Cañon city Colorado in 1970, she became secretary of an elementary school. During that time, she became very interested in nutrition and was introduced to Dr. Shaklee. With hard work and determination, she opened a nutritional sales and consultancy business that she had for over 50 years.
With the move to Platteville Colorado in 2001, she continued with her business and also became involved in the local community events. She was a proud member of the Platteville museum and historical society where she was instrumental to the museum's expansion project. She continued to volunteer well into her 90's. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and loved going to yard sales.
She is survived by a son, James Green, and daughter Nancy Haley, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
She was proceeded by her parents, Byron and Harriet Bush, her husband, Harold B. Green, and a grandson, Kevin A. Haley.
