Margaret A. “Peggy” Stewart, 74, of Greeley, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at North Colorado Medical Center.
Peggy was born December 28, 1940 to Charles and Elma (Kennedy) Dixon in St. Paul, Nebraska. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High School. She worked as a Supervisor of Admissions for the Greeley Medical Clinic for 25 years. She also worked for 5 years for the Weld County School District 6. On June 5, 1999, she married James Stewart at the Greeley Christian Church.
She attended the Greeley Wesleyan Church, was a member of the Greeley Wesleyan Faith Sisters Red Hat Club, and the Women of the Moose, Chapter 2220. Peggy was a 10 year breast cancer survivor and was involved in relay for life. She was a huge Elvis and Broncos fan. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and walking and having pizza with her close friend, Marnie.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Stewart, her sons, Charles & Eric Neuman, a daughter, Rhoda Neuman, step-sons, Kenneth & Gene Stewart, step-daughter, Debbie Day, and 9 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Elma Dixon and a sister, Dixie Miller.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Wild Animal Sanctuary in care of Moser Funeral Service.
