Margreet Erma Whitman, 72, of Eaton, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010 at her home. Margreet was born March 28, 1938 in Seymour, Iowa to Hubert and Lillian E. (Warner) Hancox. She graduated from UNC and Aims with a Bachelor's degree in graphic arts. She lived in the Greeley area for 15 years and in Eaton for 9 years.
She worked for the Kersey school district as a bus driver and also managed apartments in the Greeley area. Margreet was a member of the Hope Center Church of Greeley for 15 years. She also was a member of the Greeley Art Association, and the Greeley Merry Mixers.
She is survived by her mother, Lillian Warner Jensen, of Sterling, Colorado, a daughter, Terri (James) Petzold, of Mangum, Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Hancox and 2 infant brothers.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
