Maria Feliz Hernandez Chapa, 76, of Greeley passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at North Colorado Medical Center.
Maria was born May 18, 1937 to Venancio and Angelita (Rodriguez) Hernandez in Dilley, Texas. She later moved with her husband, Leonardo Chapa to a farm in Colorado where she raised 5 children.
She was a homemaker who loved the outdoors and being surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Leonardo G. Chapa of Mexico, her children, Gillermo H. Chapa of Greeley, Fransica Fosness of Michigan, Mario H. Chapa of Greeley, and Minerva Chapa of Greeley, 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Venancio and Angelita Hernandez, her brothers Ben and Saul Hernandez, her son, Leonardo G. Chapa Jr., her great grandson, David A. Rodriguez, and her four nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans with a Funeral Service following at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
