Maria Porras, 78 of Greeley, Colorado, passed away September 7, 2021, at Medical Center of the Rockies.

She was born on December 21, 1942, in Mexico to Juan and Leonor (Gardea) Gonzalez. She married Manual Porras. Her beloved husband passed away in August of 2009. Maria lived in Chihuahua, Mexico, later moving to Plainview, Texas. In the late 90's, she moved to Greeley, Colorado.

Maria's faith in Jesus was strong and she attended church every Sunday with her daughters and their family. She attended New Hope and Christ Community Church in Greeley, CO. She enjoyed playing card games, going to Bible study, and spending time with her family. She also loved the latest in fashion and beauty products.

She is survived by her sons Javier Porras, Victor Porras, and Juan Porras (Deborah); daughters Patricia Porras, Bertha Sly (Walter), and Guadalupe Pantoja (Gabriel); brother Manual Gonzalez (Juanita) and Martin Gonzalez; sisters Clara Trevino (Enrique), Santos Gonzalez and Isivra Gonzalez; grandchildren Luis Casillas, Marisol Casillas, John Paul Magadan, Jorge Urquidi, Steven Maldonado, Nicole Bailey, Victor Porras Jr., Manual Porras, Kimberly Rodriguez, Brianca Rodriguez, Jonathan Garcia, Jaylee Porras Jimenez , Ryan Porras , Briana Porras, Megan Porras, Luis Raul Porras, Bridgett Lopez, Nathan Lopez, Marion Sly, Lillian Sly, Derrick Porras, Darion Flores, Austin Porras, Gracie Porras, Jack Virgil, Mya Bolding, Claire Bolding , Britney Pantoja, Amber Pantoja, Brianna Pantoja, Abigail Pantoja ; as well as 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son Raul Porras, sister Josephine Baquera and sister Leticia Gonzalez.

A visitation will be held from 4-7:00PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Moser Funeral Home, 3501 South 11th Ave, Evans, CO 80620. Funeral services will be held at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 1900 AA Street, Greeley, CO 80631 at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 23, 2021. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens to follow.
