Mrs. Maria Dora Mendoza Puente, 57, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO.
Mrs. Mendoza Puente was born on December 6, 1965, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. She moved to Colorado in 1992 where she met her future husband Enrique while working at her first job in Longmont Colorado. They married on February 14 of 1995 in Pierce, CO and shortly after welcomed their daughter Deborah into the world. For close to 30 years Maria and Enrique lived on a dairy farm in Northern Colorado where they raised their children. Maria loved the openness of living in the country and being around the animals. She always connected deeply with her loving pets and ensured they were always taken care of as part of the family. Most notably was her faithful companion of 18 years, Boby, her miniature poodle.
She was an avid reader and an active member in her church group, Warriors of the Faith. She enjoyed spending quality time with family whenever possible. She chose to relax by knitting and crocheting during her free time. Maria was a dedicated and active member of her church, New Hope in Greeley, CO. Mrs. Mendoza Puente will truly be missed by all of her family and friends. She will be remembered for always being willing to lend a hand to anyone in need whether through actions or in avid prayer but mostly for her dedication and love for our Lord Jesus Christ. We can only hope she inspired many to continue the good fight and carry on her legacy.
Mrs. Mendoza Puente survived by her husband Enrique, daughters Diana and Deborah of Greeley, CO; her son Ruben and daughter-in-law, Emily of Johnstown, CO; her mother Paula; her brother Florencio and his wife, Jessica, her nieces Rebeca and Kathya, her nephew Jonatan, and four grandchildren; Caleb, Kassidy, Josue of Greeley, CO and Clayton of Johnstown, CO.
