Marie Ruth Rebeterano, 91, of Greeley, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Marie was born on August 21, 1934, in Greeley, Colorado, to Maria Leomisia and Alex Garcia. A lifelong resident of Greeley, she grew up in the community she loved, attended local schools, and later married the love of her life, Eloy Rebeterano.

Marie dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a nurse’s aide. She was also a longtime member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, as her faith was an important part of her life.

Marie found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved quilting and sewing and took great pride in her garden. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and loved ones. Known for her warm personality and wonderful sense of humor, Marie had a gift for making people laugh and bringing joy to those around her. Her kindness, strength, and love for her family will be deeply missed.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy Rebeterano; her parents, Maria and Alex Garcia; her children, Eloy, Connie, Robert, and Alex Rebeterano; and a sister, Gomocinda Martinez.

She is survived by her son, Frank Rebeterano of Greeley; daughters, Patricia Santos of Greeley, Mary Rebeterano of Greeley, Sarah Romero of Denver, and Juana Madelino of Greeley; sister, Josephina Montoya of Denver; 22 grandchildren; more than 46 great-grandchildren; and more than five great-great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a large and loving family who will carry her memory with them for generations to come.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with Recitation of Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue, Greeley, Colorado. Interment will follow at Linn Grove Cemetery.
