Obituary

Marion Adeliade Chandler, 91 of Evans, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at her home in Evans with her family by her side. She was born on March 9, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota to John and Emma. Marion graduated from Wilson High School in 1944 in St. Paul Minnesota. Marion and Fred Chandler were owners of the Sundown Motel in Greeley.

Survivors include her sons, Bill Chandler of Arvada, Colorado, Bill Murphy of Warrington, Pennsylvania, Joel Chandler of Spokane, Washington, Dave Murphy of Evans, Colorado, Jon Chandler of Spokane, Washington; her daughters, Linda Grubbs of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, Mary Murphy of Wheatridge, Colorado and Sheila Rainey of Ft. Collins, Colorado; 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Martin Murphy, her second husband, Fred Chandler, 2 daughters, Kathleen Murphy and Karen Wolfinbarger, a son, Martin Murphy and a brother, John (Jack).

A funeral service to celebrate Marion’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 9770 Foothills Canyon Blvd. in Highlands Ranch. Interment will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Denver. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church.
