Obituary

Marvin “Pete” Ream, 68, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

He was born on July 19, 1958, in Greeley to Marvin Harry and Margaret (McCargar) Ream. He attended Greeley schools and graduated from Greeley Central High School. He attended some trade classes before entering the workforce. For 7 years he was self-employed, installing carpet and tile. He then started work for State Farm Insurance and worked there for 31 years doing maintenance before retiring in 2018.

Pete met Rhonda Woolridge and fell in love. The two were married on September 14, 1979, in Greeley, and started their life together. They had two beautiful daughters, whom Pete cherished.

Outside of work and family, Pete had a third love: cars. In his free time, he enjoyed drag racing, working on his 1969 classic Mustang, and he especially enjoyed attending car shows, auctions, and swap meets.

Pete, ever the jokester, never did fail to draw a crowd and make people laugh. The light he shared in life lives on in his family and friends. He is deeply missed.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Margaret Ream; and his sister, Maurene.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Ream, of Greeley; and his daughters, Krista Ream, of Rifle, Colorado, and Maddie Ream of Salt Lake City, UT.

No services are scheduled at this time. The family plans to celebrate Pete’s life with a big party and in true Pete fashion in 2027, sometime after the holidays. The online obituary will be updated at that time.
