Mary Kay Baiamonte, 92, of Ault passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at her home.
She was born September 9, 1923 to Paul and Cora (Miller) Leaf in Greeley, Colorado. She graduated from Pierce High School in 1941 and married Vernon “Pete” Baiamonte on March 20, 1942. She was a farm wife and worked with her husband Vernon for many years.
She was a member of the Pierce Methodist Church for 78 years and was their oldest living member. She was a member of the Weld County Cattlewomen. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, and STULEDO Club. She and Vernon enjoyed bowling and playing cards, and loved to go dancing.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacque (Dean) Baiamonte Wilson; her brother, Paul Leaf; her grandchildren, Mike (Janine) Freeman, Steve (Karla) Freeman, Teresa (John) Lemmon, Jay (Casey) Barnaby, and David Achziger; her great grandchildren; Peter Freeman, Lynsey Freeman, Cierra (Brandon) Huth, Maria Freeman, Jordan, Isaiah and Sarah Lemmon, Kyle (Donnell) Achziger, Christine Achziger, and Roman & Cameron Barnaby; a great-great grandchild, Wesley Achziger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Baiamonte, her parents Paul and Cora Leaf, a daughter, Lynda Baiamonte, her brothers; Amos, Claude, Ardell Leaf, her sisters; Clara Grever and Esther Lemonds.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Pierce United Methodist Church, 429 3rd Street in Pierce. A reception will follow at the Ault VFW Post 4334.
