Mary Ellen Oster, 69, of Greeley, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit. She was born on February 20, 1938 in Roggen, Colorado to Norman Arthur and Minnie Lucille (Morris) Miller. She married Richard Oster on June 4, 1958 in Greeley. They later divorced. Mary was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains, making crafts, crocheting, knitting and her plants. She has lived in Greeley for most of her life. Survivors include 2 daughters and their husbands, Hallie & Jerry Beard and Mary & Jeff Dorland all of Greeley; 3 sons, Richard Oster of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jerry Oster & his wife Candyce of Greeley and Larry Oster and his wife Lisa of LaSalle, Colorado; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 step daughters, Donna Armstrong and her husband Dean of Loveland and Sharon Anderson of Laramie, Wyoming and her brother, Charles Miller of Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband, Richard Oster on June 4, 1958 and a sister, Norma Miller. Mary's wishes were to have no services at this time. Her ashes will be scattered in the mountains by her family at a later date.
