Mary Zita Watson, of Greeley, much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, died on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. One of six children, Mary was born June 18, 1925 in Allouez, Wisconsin to John and Catherine (Thumm) Kelliher. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; John Kelliher and Byron Shaw; 2 sisters; Evelyn Shaha and Patricia Murphy. Her sister, Marge Chevalier lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A powerfully prayerful Catholic, Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greeley, Colorado. Mary's home church, where she received the Holy Sacraments, was St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Allouez, Wisconsin. She graduated from East High School in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Mary married Robert LeCoque in 1945 at St. Matthew's Church in Allouex, Wisconsin. Bob preceded her in death. They are survived by daughters, Mary Westerfield and Diane Trieloff. In 1965, Mary married Lloyd Watson in Rockford, Illinois. Lloyd preceded her in death. Mary retired, after more than 20 years of employment in the offices of Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Following retirement, Mary traveled with family and friends to Europe, Hawaii, California and elsewhere. "Gramma Watson's" greatest joy was her grandchildren: Jeff, Mark, Kenny, Lynn, Christopher, Scott and great grandchildren; Lindsi, Jordan, Jacob, Bryce, Hunter, Sydney, Jarod, Carter, Jacob, Brady, Madelynn and Bridger. A mass will be said in her honor at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greeley, Colorado Sunday, February 10th at noon. Honoring her request, her remains will be buried in Allouez Catholic Cemetery in Allouez, Wisconsin. Time of burial and memorial service are yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
