Matthew Lee Garcia, 18, of Greeley passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 in rural Weld County. Matt was born September 8, 1995 to Jessie Lee Crespin and Natalie Ann Garcia in Greeley, Colorado. Matt had lived in Greeley his entire life and just graduated from Greeley Central in May of 2014. He was a very loving and caring kid. His passion was playing basketball, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends. He was recently named the Weld County MVP in basketball Best Prep for 2014. He is survived by his father, Jesse Lee Crespin, his mother, Natalie Ann Garcia, his step-father, Kelly Cisneros, his brothers, Dallas Garcia, Aurelius Cisneros, Bobby & Damon Garcia, his grandparents, Julian & Lisa Rodriguez, Faustino Garcia, Jr. and Rita Benavidez, his great grandparents, Maria Elena Garcia, Rose Archuletta, and Francis Rizo, his uncles, Julian Rodriguez II, Faustino Garcia III, and Christopher Ureste, his aunts, Desiree & Monica Rodriguez, and Diane Garcia, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his cousins, Julisa Maldanado & David Lee (Crockett) Garcia, and great grandfathers, Faustino Garcia, Sr. and Esteban Rodriquez. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. A funeral mass will be 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 915 12th Street in Greeley. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
