Matthew Arnold Godby, 56, of Eaton, passed away on March 6, 2019 in his family home surrounded by loved ones.
Matthew was born on April 19, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa. He was the son of Carroll Don and Helen (Garside) Godby. He attended and graduated from Eaton High School and worked for the family business; Colorado Lamb Company.
He has joined his son, Gregory Godby in heaven and is survived by his wife, Jami Dow-Godby; daughter, Ashley Godby; father and mother, Carroll Don and Helen Godby; sister Beverly Godby; nieces Sarah Abeyta, Caryl Abeyta, and Demi Ford; numerous relatives in Kentucky and Ohio; and a pack of loving animals.
Services will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eaton Community Church, 1561 Benjamin Drive, in Eaton. Private burial following church service.
The family invites you to join us for a reception immediately following services at the Eaton Country Club, 37661 CR 39 in Eaton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Matthew Godby Memorial Fund to support Eaton High School athletics in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, CO 80620.
