Melissa Renae Nicklas, 27 of Eaton, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, near Lucerne.
She was born on February 13, 1981, in Greeley, Colorado to Earl and Catherine (Krieger) Fulton. She graduated from Briggsdale High School in 1999 and later attended Colorado State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2003.
Melissa married Colin Nicklas on June 1, 2002 in Greeley.
Melissa was the Fleet Manager of Redstreak Rail in Westminster, Colorado. She attended the Briggsdale Baptist Church. She loved to spend time with her children, Peyton and Morgen.
Survivors include her husband, Colin Nicklas of Eaton; her 2 daughters, Peyton and Morgen Nicklas of Eaton; her mother, Catherine Fulton of Briggsdale; her brother and his wife, Michael and Amy Fulton of Johnstown, Colorado and her grandparents, Norm and Margaret Peterson of Eaton and Helen Fulton of Greeley. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Fulton and her brother, Matthew Fulton.
A memorial service to celebrate Melissa's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton (1325 3rd Street in Eaton). Her urn will be interred at the Briggsdale Cemetery following the services.
Memorial gifts may be made for Peyton and Morgen's education in Melissa's name to the Guaranty Bank, 100 Oak Avenue, Eaton, Colorado 80615.
