Michael J. Vela's Obituary
Michael J. Vela, 79, of Greeley passed away June 25, 2021. He was born November 13, 1941 in Denver, Colorado to John & Lucy (Padilla) Vela.
Mike lived in Greeley & California. He worked as a carpenter all his life. He loved the Lord Jesus, read his Bible, day in and day out.
He is survived by his one sister, Jenny Trujillo Breaux, his children, Michael Vela, Michelle Vela, and Sherri Hickman, 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren, a special friend, Anita Archuleta, nieces, Roberta Trujillo and Debbie A. Trujillo, and a nephew, Gabriel Trujillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Lucy Vela, 3 sisters, Mary Velasquez, Elvera Baladez, and Sara Vela, brothers, John Chavez and Pete Vasquez, and many nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed until we meet again. We love you Uncle Mike always. God Bless you.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Trinity Spanish Assembly of God, 601 21st Avenue in Greeley.
